Generations Summit Registration

Three Rivers is hosting a Generations Summit for Student Ministry Leaders and Senior Adult Ministry Leaders on Thursday, May 9 from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the Three Rivers Mission Center. We will serve lunch and there is no fee for this event.

Our purpose is to cast a vision for intergenerational ministry in the church and explore practical ways students and seniors can bless and serve one another and their community.

The Psalms frequently challenge one generation to pass on its faith to the next generation.

Psalm 71:18 Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare Your power to the next generation, Your mighty acts to all who are to come.

Psalm 78:4,6 We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, His power, and the wonders He has done . . so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children.

Judges 2:10-11 reminds us what happens when one generation fails to pass on its faith. 

"After that generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the LORD not what He had done for Israel, Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD and served the Baals."
